Jolene Cilliers is an experienced occupational therapist who qualified at the University of Pretoria and spent her career forming years gaining experience in all fields of occupational therapy, including at one of the top sensory integration paediatric practices, and various medical institutions.
Most recently her main focus has been on paediatrics, neuro- and physical rehabilitation. She enjoys the challenges and triumphs that came with working alongside patients of different backgrounds and capabilities.
Regarding paediatrics, she has had extensive experience in providing group and individual therapy to children ranging from infants to teenagers, in private and government associations. She has worked with children with diagnosed and undiagnosed conditions, in particular those with Neurological fall outs, Developmental Delays, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, Perceptual – and Scholastic difficulties.
Furthermore, Jolene has a keen interest in neurological and physical rehabilitation. She is passionate about improving all areas of function and quality of life.
She has worked closely with all allieds, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, audiologists, educational psychologist, clinical psychologists, and other medical practitioners. She works extremely well with other professionals and enjoys collaboration with peers to form a holistic approach.
Jolene feels strongly about providing therapy that is patient centred and has been sought after for the adaptability in her approach and ability to build relationships with patients in such a way that maximises their potential. Jolene consistently seeks the most up-to-date, evidence-based approaches to therapy, ensuring the most effective treatment.
